From a team destined for relegation, he kept us up and finished mid table, play off finalists the next year, then promoted. Turning one of the leakiest defences in the league, to the best last season and now the best in the top 4 divisions in england, including the premier league with 8 less games. Spending a massive 350k on Ayala and 450k on husband on the defence in his time here.

The last 4 games we really should of been out of sight. Burnley scored a last minute equaliser, decent point away though. Ipswich we should of won 3 or 4-0, players missing one on ones and hitting the post. A bit likes you v sheff wed at home. Birmingham, disallowed goal when Ayala was clearly onside. V brighton we were hardly under pressure, did you have a shot on target bar the goal? We were always compfotable, you would of had to do what no one had done for nearly 2 years and score 2 league goals at the riverside. Promotion is promotion, that was the aim, it was achieved and onwards and upwards to the premier league, where we belong.

9 million for rhodes over 4 years, same with downing over 4 years so the outlay isn't 16m over one season. Nugent 2m and a further 2 m now promoted, de Pena and stuani we sold Tomblin. Also sold widshut for 1m also. Have we failed financial fair play before? Steve Gibson said we would live within financial fair play and I have no reason to doubt him. Last season we passed when we reached play off final and the losses come down from the season before.

Let's hope the Premier League do the decent thing now, and close off relegation once and for all now Middlesbrough have finally managed to scramble their way back there.

The last thing the good people of Teeside need is the club falling back to the dreadful Championship where only 15,000 or so people turn up on occasion, and the Riverside once again becomes conducive to being able to take a nice quiet mid-afternoon snooze.

North and South Stand adult season tickets will cost £570. That figure works out at £30 a game.

Tickets in those stands had been available at £461 to new applicants under the early purchase option, or £24.26 a game.

And last year’s season ticket holders in those stands who renewed early will pay £397, or £20.89 per match.

At the top end, the West Stand Upper tickets that go on sale today will cost an adult £646, or £34 per game - although early bird renewals have got those tickets at £29 a match.

The East Stand Upper is priced at £608 with an East and West lower seat available at £570 each.

The popular Generation Family Zone has gone up in line with the rises at both ends, with tickets for an adult and a child under-11 priced at £570 with an additional child from £50.

Under-18 tickets throughout the ground are priced at £200 or just over a tenner a game.

"Red Faction unequivocally opposes such increases, in the south stand alone we see increases of close to £160 on the early bird season ticket prices," a statement said.

"This is added into the fact that new season ticket holders no longer receive the free drink voucher, something which was negotiated when the club was struggling to attract support and we came together with all fan groups to improve what was happening in the stadium.

"Over 19 games these increased prices will put season tickets at near £30 a game, meaning walk up tickets will be increased substantially and to an amount beyond most fans who struggle to afford a season ticket.

"In Red Faction we have no issue in rewarding loyalty, as appears to be the case here, but to do so in a way which punishes new fans (or those who can't afford a season ticket at the time of renewal) is poor, disrespectful and goes massively against everything the club regularly claims the club is.

"With an estimated £170 million to be made from promotion, the club could charge nothing and make substantial profits.

"Instead the club have decided to up costs on fans which won't even touch the clubs balance sheet but will massively hurt fans pockets.
