The Eurozone is a bigger internal market than the US?

Eurozone richest market in the world?

Eurozone ranking first in inbound and outbound international investment?

Any sources to back up those assertions?

The Eurozone offers us a future where our second tier EU membership is at the whim of the Eurozone 1st tier members who have a majority and can out vote us putting their ever closer union agenda ahead of our national interest.

The EU is the world's biggest exporter of manufactured goods and services, and it is the biggest import market for over 100 countries.
It is also the world's largest single market area. Both European and international consumers and investors enjoy the many benefits of a simplified system – in an area where people, goods, services and money can move freely.

2. The EU is the largest economy in the world. Although growth is projected to be slow, the EU remains the largest economy in the world with a GDP per head of €25 000 for its 500 million consumers. http://ec.europa.eu/trade/policy/eu-position-in-world-trade/index_en.htm

The adjusted GDP of the 28 EU member nations is bigger than both China and the US, the traditional list of world's economic super powers.

"In nominal U.S. dollar terms, the European Union (plus Norway, Switzerland, Iceland) accounted for 25.4% of world output in 2014 according to data from the International Monetary Fund. That was greater than America’s share (22.5%) and well in excess of China’s—13.4%," said Quinlan.

3. Foreign direct investment

Despite the growing importance of emerging economies as hosts to foreign-owned firms, the EU remains the largest investor and recipient of FDI.

The EU is the world's largest economy. It is a wounded giant but it is absolutely central to the economic prosperity of this country.

Falsehood No. 1. It's not for keeps. Any UK government, if they chose, could leave the EU.
Falsehood No. 1. I don't have the power to remove the people that govern me. It takes more than my vote.

How many of the UK electorate can correctly identify their own MP?

The commissioners draft and propose legislation but it has to be passed by the elected parliament!

The first ten minutes is just pro Brexit opinion, not fact, just their views.

/QUOTE] So what you are saying is that we could be outvoted. But that's . . . democracy . . . . and sometimes you get a government you don't want. That also is democracy. We had a labour government for 11 years, not so long ago. How did you cope? Howling at the moon that we should 'leave' the UK so you could manage your bit of merrie England 'locally' (i.e., via your local Conservative majority)? Come on! Think about it.

No. We are part of Europe and that's all there is to it. We have to make it work, and stop pissing about. sulking, threatening and behaving like spoiled brats wih a colonial sense of entitlement every time something doesn't go our way (or 'your way' to be more accurate).

If I hear any more crap like the disgraceful nonsense that clown Boris came out with the other day, the last minute arrivist self-interested fat fraud, I'll swing for someone so help me (to quote Edward Elizabeth Hitler - apt I feel).

So the answer was no you couldn't provide any sources to substantiate your claims as we were talking about the Eurozone not the EU.

Some helpful links for you https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurozone, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Union

As for the EU, once again you may have overlooked a minor detail. We were commenting on the relative negotiating positions post Brexit.

The EU would no longer be the largest economy in the world as we would have left! This would also of course drop the EU's rankings in some other areas you mention.

As stated numerous times (to counter tedious straw man arguments) I am not saying we will find negotiations easy or have a better position just that this countries economic importance to Europe wide prosperity should not be rubbished/downplayed. Which the poster I initially replied to seemed to suggest.

I'm a Remain voter and I thought I should watch it.

Well, I've got to "We the people are being cajoled, frightened and bullied into surrendering our democracy and freedom" and I had already spotted 6 factual errors.

Then, immediately after this, there is a picture of Cromwell, who was arguably England's only ever dictator.

I've only watched 11 seconds of it so far. Doesn't bode well for the remaining. 1 hour 10 minutes and 50 seconds.

Why exactly to do you consider it undemocratic? The laws are passed by a majority of elected representatives.

This is so far from the truth, and reason as to be insane. Look up the European Commission and then look up the phrase 'Legislative Initiative'. Upon these two words, joined together irrevocably, lies the cornerstone of all debate surrounding the EU. If you do not care about the EC's prerogative in this area, that's fine. But most of us do, so before you post such utter codswallop as the above, please educate yourself.

That'll be the European Commission made up of people put forward by the democratically elected governments of the member states and who can be removed with a vote by the European Parliament then?

If you think that something about it is undemocratic then please be specific rather than just generally insulting.
