Tea, day 4

Sussex 358-7(f/o) (128 overs), Brown 29* Robinson 4*

Sussex lead by 145.

33 overs remaining... so current best chase for Worcs would be 146 from 30 overs, RR4.87

Sussex scored 123 in the afternoon session for the loss of just 2 wickets :clap2:
Well done to Sussex boys Nash, Wells, Hatchett, Machan, Finch and Brown in this 2nd innings :clap2:

"Great game of cricket"

He's going to love the twittering about the equation. Hope we don't lose another quick one.

I fancy we need to bat for another half an hour. Eight overs - maybe another 25 runs - would leave them needing 180 off 20-odd overs.

Magoffin gone for 16... caught driving at Henry

Sussex 396-9... surely too little too late for Worcs??

#SAFE?

They can't catch us now. A large '20 over' score against a free set field and less restricted bowling. Hand shake soon if the wicket doesn't fall in the next four overs.

Although I hope they have a go.

Magoffin out, then first ball to Whittingham goes for four to bring the 400 up. You've got to love his spunk!

This is the cricket equivalent of "TWO-NIL AND YOU F*CKED IT UP!"

They probably need your support now, more than ever. Its rebuilding time, and I always thought we would need to adjust to this division. We have some quality youth coming through much more than other counties and it must be worth your support of the club through a membership just to watch who can make it.

The weather and early start has not helped, nor will the 20 20 interruption. Wright and Jordan big misses and the young bowlers have been thrown in.

Long way to go in the season yet only 4 games into a 16 game season, we often get going in the second half after the break. But a draw today would go a long way to setting up a launching pad and some momentum.
Marvellous optimism!
