"Today's inexplicable bitterness ratings"

Brighton: 9
Burnley: 9

BRIGHTON: It was a foul, his shin was ripped open. Stop looking for an injustice that isn't there. We didn't pick the ref. We didn't send him off. We didn't reject the appeal. We weren't kicking an opponent from the off. So wind your necks in. You should be embarrassed by the touchline antics of Calderwood and the churlish comments by Rosenior. And all the pre-match chest-beating. Your heads went.

Boro beat you down there fair and square. Dismantled. And we were the better team up here. You needed to win and did nothing. You bricked it in the face of the atmosphere and the pressure. We finished ahead of you. Forget it, move on. You need to focus on the play-offs games to come not get distracted by us, making daft appeals or getting your excuses in early. If you lose to Sheff Wed it is your fault not ours. I always thought Brighton was a great club and very friendly but "doing a Brentford" has lacked class and left a bit of a sour taste.

BURNLEY: Everyone in the boardroom, the management and all fair-minded fans of a proper club rooted in the community should be deeply embarrassed by the antics of football's self-appointed philosopher king and serial relegatee Joey Barton. Making foul-mouthed comments about a rival club at an official club function is unprofessional and unnecessary - especially when Burnley themselves were waving the same trophy around two years ago. Although after a whole year of the gravel gargling boss bleating about his bargain bin poverty and big spending Boro''s largesse on a weekly basis (despite spending £9m on a striker and supporting a Premier League wage bill) maybe the tone has been set and it is no surprise there is an air of friction.

But hey, we didn't mess your trophy presentation up or miscount the medals. Although we did take four points. Again. And we didn't arrange the fixtures so that all the world's attention was on the massive final day shoot-out at the Riverside rather than your routine dead rubber or that the Riverside pitch invasion and celebration looked fantastic on TV and grabbed the headlines and overshadowed your sheepishly waving inflatable cups about.

Teesside really isn't bothered. Seriously. Boro players were partying with the fans on the pitch and in the town and singing our own triumphant songs and looking onwards and upwards while you were chuntering and chanting infantile insults and making yourselves look boorish and bitter and then posting it on social media. How stupid is that? Seriously? How stupid is that? And all even though you are up anyway. As champions. Enjoy the moment. Focus on your own achievement. Stop chipping away at ours. Stop trying to foster some contrived animosity. It is completely unrequited. And daft."

The Middlesbrough Journo is both a tool and a fool. He writes absolute nonsense.
