Albion are in FA Cup action on Sunday.

Brighton & Hove Albion women are hoping for another bumper crowd this weekend, as they look to continue their impressive run in this season’s SSE Women’s FA Cup.The Seagulls welcome Sporting Club Albion to the Sussex County FA HQ at Culver Road, Lancing, BN15 9AX, for a fifth round tie on Sunday, kick-off 2pm.

Brighton have already beaten Luton Town, Women’s Super League Two (WSL 2) side Oxford United and Blackburn Rovers in the second, third and fourth rounds respectively.

Fans turned up in their droves at Culver Road for the first fourth round tie against Blackburn Rovers – a total of 566 cheered the women on, a record attendance for any women’s match that day - and the club are hoping for an even larger Albion contingent on Sunday.

The club are urging the 6,000-plus fans planning to travel to stadium:mk on Saturday to also head to Culver Road the following day and make it an Albion double header. Those fans heading to MK Dons can gain FREE entry to Sunday’s game by showing their ticket stubs at the turnstiles.
James Marrs’s team head into this all-FA Women’s Premier League tie having retained the Sussex Challenge Cup with a 5-1 win over Crawley Wasps last Thursday, and secured a 5-2 victory over Blackburn Rovers in a fourth round replayed game on Sunday.

Sporting Club Albion are affiliated to West Bromwich Albion and they have also knocked out WSL2 opposition in the competition, after a surprise 3-1 win over Sheffield FC in round four.

Entry to the game is just £3 for adults, £1 for under-16s, free for any Brighton & Hove Albion season-ticket holder and those fans who travelled to MK Dons the previous day (with proof of ticket stub on the gate).The younger fans in attendance will be able to take advantage of face painting at the ground and there will also be a penalty shoot-out competition on the pitch at half-time.
