Brighton & Hove Albion women’s first team manager James Marrs is eager to continue the side's winning momentum, as Albion return to league action against Forest Green Rovers on Sunday.

It will be the side's first league match since a 4-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur on 20th December, following a 7-0 victory over Luton Town in an SSE FA Cup second round tie last week.

He said, “It’s important that we continue where we left off. We’ve had two friendlies and an FA Cup game since the break, so we’re looking in good shape at the minute.

“We want to win the game and we know we can if we perform to our maximum, then we can get three points from Forest Green.
*
“The last time we went on an unbeaten run, we lost to QPR so it’s massively important to take these games seriously and not just turn up expecting three points. That won’t be the case, they will be a difficult outfit to beat."

The Seagulls beat Forest Green 4-0 at home on the opening day of the season, but Marrs says the result is irrelevant going into this weekend's game.

“Last time we played them they battled for 90 minutes, but that was the first game of the season and things have changed since then."

The defender is set to face the world champions in San Diego on Saturday, before a behind-closed-doors match against a USA under-23 team in Carson on Monday.
AMELIA RITCHIE is currently away with the Wales senior team for a five-day training camp in preparation for their Euro 2017 qualifiers later in the year.

The 16-year-old has already earned three caps for the senior side in the qualifiers against Israel, Denmark and Hungary.
HOLLIE OLDING has been called up to the England under-17s' squad for a friendly tournament in Los Angeles to play against USA, Japan, and South Korea.
ALBION CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE player, Ellie Hack, has been called up to the England Under-15 Schoolgirls squad for the upcoming 2016 season.

The youngster will meet up with the squad on Sunday 31st January, ahead of a training camp in Spain next month and a friendly against the Republic of Ireland in March.
