Crest Nicholson paid £1.2 million to Brighton and Hove Council on another project a year or so back so that they did not have to have, the agreed at planning, 8 affordable flats. They are really concerned about providing housing for those on low incomes!

Back on topic they can afford a 50m pool now from their millions of projected profit plus the £15 million windfall.

We’re are these “hundreds of thousands” of people coming from? I know we have a homeless problem but it’s not on this scale.

The latest net migration statistics show that in the year ending June 2017, net migration to the UK was 230,000.that's an awful lot of houses to be built.

Maybe leaving the EU might bring this figure down?

I hope this happens. At least i think i do. I use the king Alfred with my kids every week & i won't look forward to 2 to 3 years of no local pool.

Also the new thing with no outdoor cafe / restaurant area is particularly dumb.

& to those upset about the need for more housing & house prices but are keen on continued unfettered migration - that says all i need to know about you
