LEWIS DUNK is man enough to cope with the scrutiny surrounding his recent performances for Albion.
That is the message from stand-in skipper Bruno, with Dunk poised to keep his place in the centre of defence at Blackburn Rovers tomorrow.
Bruno says there is no need for a pep talk for Dunk ahead of the clash at Ewood Park. There will be no Rovers return for captain Gordon Greer, who launched his career in England with Blackburn 15 years ago.

The veteran Glaswegian has been ruled out by a minor injury on his comeback from hamstring trouble in Tuesday’s 2-0 loss at Rotherham. It means Dunk, responsible for a third goal-costing mistake in four games at Rotherham, will be reunited with summer signing Connor Goldson, who is set for his first away start in the Championship for the Seagulls.
Bruno said: “Every player is different. Some you need to talk to and some you don’t. Dunk knows but he has a big personality and that will push him forward. He made a mistake and you don’t need people reminding you, you just need to try to not do it again.
“He’s training hard. He’s strong enough to not need a chat about it. If he needs anything he knows he can speak to us.”
Bruno was himself guilty of gifting Rotherham their second goal in Albion’s fourth defeat on the trot in all competitions.
The right-back admitted: “We need to change this bad run as soon as possible. The most important thing when you’re in a position like this is go back to the basics and then I think we can do it.”
