The skipper comes into the back four after*injury as one of four changes to the Seagulls’ most recent league XI.
Anthony Knockaert makes his debut on the right-hand side of a 4-4-2 line-up.
Liam Ridgewell plays his first Championship game for the club and Tomer Hemed returns in attack.

Rotherham have injury and availability problems but recall Matt Derbyshire to attack while Shay Facey, signed on loan recently from Manchester City, slots into his favoured right-back role after a debut on the wing at Leeds on Saturday.
