DALE STEPHENS still has his sights on automatic promotion for Albion.
The defiant midfielder admits the Seagulls would have settled for top six at the start of the season but now he wants more.
Albion go to Brentford on Boxing Day (1pm) in third spot in the Championship after losing for the first time at home to leaders Middlesbrough.
They have only been out of the top two twice all season, following the opening win against Nottingham Forest and for a few days after drawing at Sheffield Wednesday at the start of November.

Stephens said: “You’ve got to look at the teams in and around us. We’ve probably not got the strongest squad in the League but I think we’ve got a real good togetherness.
“If we’d said to each other you are going to make the play-offs at the start of the season then it would have been a good achievement but I think where we are at the moment we’ve got to aim a little bit higher.”
Albion are three points behind leaders Middlesbrough, one adrift of Derby County and ten clear of Sheffield Wednesday in seventh place.
The picture could change again on Saturday, when Middlesbrough are at Blackburn Rovers and Derby at home to Fulham.
Hull, two points below Albion in fourth, entertain fifth-placed Burnley.
