Was that when it rained? And they locked us in afterwards and played the goals back in the downpour?

Wasn't Corrigan's debut, no... It was Willie's last appearance for us (he only played three games), was replaced by his far superior namesake Eric for the rest of the season.

Corrigan's first game was Carlisle home and he dropped a clanger when Alan Shoulder nipped in front of him to score.....

I am reasonably certain that during our days in Div III South we had a long unbeaten period but not sure when the first defeat was.

Game 9 was our first loss 1953/4. Our current unbeaten run is the longest in our history from the start of a season.

I remember the hopes of promotion that season. Sadly we finished 2nd to Ipswich Town who claimed the single promotion spot.
