6 points in total and 2 points clear at the top after 2 games. Simple extrapolation has us winning the league by 46 points with a total haul of 138. Isn't maths wonderful?

I know you are posting that in jest, but I remember posting something similar (in jest) when we went top in our league one promotion season when we initially went top early in that season...

Maybe, but we didn't win our opening two (three) games that season, and we didn't go top until September

All this optimism will of course vanish immediately should we lose at Huddersfield on Tuesday

This is a ridiculous post.

Your maths gives the second place team 92 points at the end of the season. The second placed team never gets that many, so realistically we're looking at a 50+ points lead.

Just to be pedantic, the title is "in their own hands" of every team except Fulham.

Fulham need Brighton to drop 3 points and win all their remaining games to be Champions.

Every other team is sure to win it with 44 victories.
. Good point. We are doomed

When will we have mathematically won the league?

I'm thinking of booking some winter sun holiday and i wouldn't want to miss the title game.
But I'm not that fussed about the games Chris will use to give the reserves a run around.

Can't we have the dream, even for one day? I love being top even if it doesn't last. :ascarf:

Better than the gloom we'd all be feeling if we'd played 2 lost 2.

The first two games are harder than our next two. So we should have 4 wins from 4 next weekend.

Can we make it all the way through August and win every match, obviously by a single goal
