Loving this.

Crowd to Johnson -> "You're not bowling anymore"

Bell hits three 4's

Crowd -> "Are you Johnson in disguise"

:lolol:

Oh no... that is UNBELIEVABLE.

Cook smashes a pull from a short ball from Lyon and it hits Voges at short leg, who is covering up clutching his helmet, in the stomach and somehow he clings on. He never even saw it :nono:

76-2

Sounds like the ball got caught in his jumper and he then got his hands around it

Lodged in his arm pit when he was taking evasive action to a horrible delivery and resulting pull shot out of he middle. It was such a spawny wicket that the camera man had panned to the boundary and Gower had called it a four before realisng!

The problems are that we cannot get past 50 without losing 3 wickets, our bowlers are rubbish, we never win the toss and the Aussie bowling attack will murder us.
Bring back KP!

Well done Bell, a 50 in this type of match is worth a ton in most tests.

And we are off for a light rain shower... possibly the close of play (with 19 overs left in the day, would have to resume before 19:00).

England 133-3 (29 overs), trailing by just 3 runs.

Root 30* Bairstow 1*

What a great day for England after the shambles of Lords.

Well done Ian Bell, dug himself out of a hole on a difficult pitch. Personally I wouldn't have selected him, as his confidence has been low, but credit where it's due.
Lyth doesn't look or act the part...well done England and hard luck Cookie out to a fluke!

Well the pressure was all on Bell and he came up trumps, batsman of the day, a run a ball fifty giving England impetus. I don't have a problem getting out playing his shots when he'd already notched his half-century, on this pitch there's going to be a ball with your name on it soon enough.

The game plan for England tomorrow is simple enough - try and bat for at least 5 hours, all day if possible. If Joe Root is still there at tea then England will win this match.
