I had a very nice 90 minute walk to work, reading the paper as I went. Ok I might have had a glance around at some bobbing danglers hidden less completely by summer garb, but my mind for much of it was on the Grexit and of different film versions of Macbeth written about in the Independent.

Gatwick - 28c
Heathrow 31c !!!

Temp record is 36.7c for July - don't think we'll hit that but somewhere in west London could hit 35c

It's really not that bad is it?

I remember being in Dubai, in the middle of the desert when it was 47 degrees. It was hot, irritating and no shade except for the boiling hot Land Rovers but bearable. 34 degrees in UK, in a town, with air con buildings, water to drink, cold food to buy, cold water from taps, shade and cool clothing to wear really isn't that bad.
Sack up, ladies.

My office right now is 35c

There are four big fans running by people's desks, achieving nothing but move the stifling air about, and make it NOISY as well as unbearably HOT.

Can't WAIT to get out in 20 minutes. I feel like a dog locked in a car.

must admit I looked at the long range forecast for Newhaven & Toulouse respectively

and was very envious of the weather back home in Newhaven

Was working in a loft today, gave it b*****ks to this about 11 ish. It was that hot it made me feel ill, still I'm better now after a couple of cold Peroni's and wearing my mankini in the garden !!!
