So true, Ray Clemence conceded just 16 goals in a season late in his Liverpool career, then went to Tottenham and let in 3 times that per season. Did he suddenly become a bad keeper?
Not sure its all about whether Ryan comes away from the world cup injury free. We already know our back up is likely to get a month of games in January so instantly our 3rd keeper becomes back up for a month. With that the need for 3 quality keepers becomes greater

We have to sign 'dull' HGP keepers, to have room for non-HGP outfield players.
It's a good strategy to have the 2nd and 3rd choice keepers hoovering up 2 of the HGP slots.
It may even mean that we can replace HGP Baldock with someone not from these shores.

good thinking that...assuming we have Button and Steele we have actually gained a HGP....
Still see one HGP potentially being Nick Powell as backup/challenge for Gross
Then....
Iranian winger for Skalak (no difference)
Moore for Goldson(HGP)
Centre mid is the key one and a position that will have to go to best possible player regardless of country

Club successfully appealed 3 or 4 months ago.
