Where we are - Friday... - same as Thursday really.

Liam Moore (Reading) - 17/18 Reading Player of the Year, Centre Back, HGP - Albion "interested, but yet to make an offer" - waiting on a possible Goldson exit is still position. Goldson is rather keen to move says his "pal" former Hibs striker James Collins. "I'm sure he would jump at it" https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport...onnor-goldson-desperate-join-rangers-12613190

Paddy McNair (Sunderland) - 23 year old NI international, ex Man Utd Midfield, Defender, HGP - No sign of that *new* offer that The Sun said was being "readied" (says The Sun, p55 yesterday) . Local Sunderland press reporting that Chairman getting a bit bullish about keeping him "the vultures are already circling". I think they mean us. via https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spo...addy-mcnairs-panama-capers-underline-14723449

Thomas Delaney - Danish Midfielder , target last summer . Not announced yet but an overweight lady in Dortmund is gargling her throat very loudly.

What else ?
Davy Propper "struggled to create much" in a Netherlands friendly v Slovakia ( via; http://www.football-oranje.com/netherlands-player-ratings-against-slovakia/ )
Florin Andone had a "minor injury" so wasn't involved in Romania's friendly v Chile.

Incoming So far:
Leon Balogun (May 22) - German/Nigerian defender - free
Florin Andone (May 25) - Colombian Striker - reported to be £5m

Starting to feel sorry for the fat Dortmund lady, she must be fecking knackered by now and have a very sore throat.

What's he saying? His tweets are protected.
"Brighton. Closing in on a deal for a new keeper. Cover for Ryan. Would open door to Walton and a Wigan return."

I suggest we need to resolve the futures of 2 keepers before Walton goes out on loan...

His cryptic tweets often come to nothing. But this could mean (and probably does mean) finalising the new deal for Tim Krul, given reporting that we have been talking both him and Maenpaa about staying.

West Ham have signed Ryan Fredricks on a free.

Good going forward, but not convinced defensively, especially in the Premier League. Wouldn’t have been disappointed with him coming here, but a bit of a gamble I would say.

Remember how much hype there was about Tommy Smith this time last year? Pretty sure I read Huddersfield are now open to him moving on this summer. I would put him and Fredericks in the same bracket, although Fredericks probably has a bit more about him.

We’ll see.

Surely if, as reported, Goldson fee has been agreed, then we must be very close or complete on his replacement...

Window - Where we are - Wednesday June 6th -

Liam Moore (Reading) - 25 year old, Centre Back, HGP, 17/18 Reading player of the year - Some overnight movement on Goldson, Both The Sun and the Argus are now reporting that Rangers are "closing in" on a signing and have agreed terms could finally mean that Albion start bidding for their replacement CB.

Is it £15m rated (ie: Reading rated) Moore ?

Paddy McNair (Sunderland) - 23 year old NI international, ex Man Utd Midfield, Defender, HGP -The chase goes on.And on. Sunderland chairman is being bullish and is now insisting that McNair is staying unless he puts in a transfer request. "“If he doesn’t want to leave and Jack wants him to in his team, he’s going nowhere." - Veteran transfer window watchers will roll their eyes at this classic chairman quote.

Mirror, obviously short of updates , have repeated again their belief that Albion are putting in a £5m bid in their 07.45 transfer live update this morning. When this £5m bid is actually going to show itself is a mystery though.

*new* Ezri Konsa (Charlton)- 20 year old, Eng u20 international, Centre Back, HGP - Liam Moore not the only centre back in town. Goldson (probably) leaving will no doubt mean Albion play off one target against another to get their replacement.

What else ?
Schelotto under impression he was close to getting in the Argentinian World Cup squad.Closer than he was to Zaha at Selhurst i trust. http://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/alb...eveals_he_was_on_Argentina_s_World_Cup_radar/
Thomas Delaney *still* hasn't singed for Dortmund. Mmmm.

Incoming So far:
Leon Balogun (May 22) - German/Nigerian defender - free -
Florin Andone (May 25) - Romanian Striker - reported to be £5m

u23s
Joseph Tomlinson (May 25) - Ex Yeovil , 17 year old defender.

Brighton - In your face
Marcus ‘mini-Messi’ Edwards anyone?

https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...ds-seeking-exit-tottenham-hotspur-this-summer

Marcus Edwards will seek a move away from Tottenham Hotspur this summer, having reluctantly accepted that his chance of a first-team breakthrough under Mauricio Pochettino has gone.

The 19-year-old attacking midfielder has the reputation as one of England’s most exciting talents for his age, despite playing only 15 minutes for Spurs. He has starred for England’s youth teams from Under-16 to Under-20 level.

I'd imagine there will be other clubs in for him, but you never know.

I doubt we could offer him first team football either. CH is not known for throwing youngsters in for more than a game or two before reverting to experienced players. Given that we have been trying to get promoted for two seasons followed by concentrating on staying in the Premier League, it’s likely to be the same again next season. I can’t imagine being dumped in the development team is likely to float his boat.

Doubt this one is even close to being considered as a player we are interested in personally.
