Do people still take notice of opinion polls?
Of course they do , they just need to add on 5% to the Conservatives figure to account for the "shy Tory" vote

There is also the "lie Tory" vote , those who are too embarrassed to say they'll vote Conservative but don't want to say they're undecided and tell the canvasser they're voting for another party
