They don't do BBC interviews unsanctioned by their club, then complain that the club aren't protecting them from negative headlines. They don't allow their agents to pursue such tactics that lead to as much bad PR as Sterling's has caused.

How is saying "he is being greedy turning down a contract that will triple his current wage, because he thinks it isn't enough" in any way conflicting with "he already has earned so much money he can retire if the worst happens"? The fact he is 20 years old and has earned enough, should something bad happen, he can retire, reinforces how greedy it is that an increase of 285% is not enough.for someone who hasn't scored against a team above him, and still requires developing before coming close to the finished article.
