Albion*are poised to renew their interest in Blackpool teenager Mark Waddington.
The 18-year-old midfielder is expected to reject the offer of a professional contract from the relegated Lancastrians, paving the way for a move to the Amex.
Albion will have to pay a compensation fee as Waddington, below, is under the age of 23.
The Seagulls were prepared to pay around £100,000 to land him in the January transfer window but had two offers rejected by Blackpool.

A fortnight later Waddington broke a bone in his foot, ruling him out for the rest of the season.
He caught the eye in five appearances for the Championship’s bottom club, including a starring role against Aston Villa in the FA Cup.
Meanwhile, Albion have sold about 400 tickets for the last day trek to Middlesbrough on May 2 (12.15).
Boro have reported overall sales of close to 28,000 for the match at the Riverside which could decide if they are automatically promoted to the Premier League.
