As bad as everything is in terms of the squad, we always knew that this season was about staying up. You cant all of a sudden turn average to poor players into good ones. The manager is having to try and keep clean sheets to pick up points because the strikers are so poor.
I hope he goes for the win at Wigan next match as that would all but seal it. I was working at Millwall match tonight and they are a poor side and only got into the game when Wigan went a man down so I don't see them picking up 8 points.
It is dreadful limping over the line but if we picked up more points than we are then it might actually disguise how much investment is actually needed in the team for next year

Did the Bruno long shot hit the bar?
Halford miss was inexplicable. He looked easier to get it on target.
One Town player ducked to get out of a Calderon? shot and the goal bound attempt hit him in the face.
Dale Stephens had 9.3% of overall possession and Bruno was not far behind. Touches 700-420 as we had most of the ball.
Butterfield did best for them in midfield, but Mark Hudson in central defence was good at interceptions. I remember him playing well for Cardiff in their splendid central defence that got them promoted.
I reckon we need a specialist attacking coach and specialist training for the strikers. The new ones.
Lualua came on at 58 minutes. He needs to start really, but to get on early to make a difference.
PS: Tex held his right ankle (back of*) after he was fouled earlier on in the game. *just above his ankle.
