Albion will be tackling a team chasing a club record when they face Bournemouth tonight.
The Cherries need just one more goal to make this the most free-scoring season in their history.
They currently stand on 104 goals, in all competitions, matching their tallies of 1956-57 and 1928-29.
Bournemouth’s array of goalscoring feats is highly impressive.
Their tally of 87 in the league is already three more than the division’s top scorers, Derby, managed in the whole of last season.
They also lead the way for away goals with 44 – six more than top awayday scorers Derby notched in their 23 fixtures last term.
They have six players who have scored more goals than Albion’s top league marksman Joao Teixeira.
Make that seven if you include recent loan arrival Kenwyne Jones, who added the late leveller at Ipswich on Good Friday to the 11 he netted for Cardiff City.
Bournemouth are the only team to have scored eight in a game (away to Birmingham) and also scored six at Blackpool. Throw in a 5-1 win at Fulham and they are responsible for three of the five hauls of more than four goals by away teams in the Championship this term.
They are the only team to have scored four or more in four different away games.
They have drawn just three blanks on their travels, the fewest in the division, with their nils coming at Derby, Middlesbrough and Leeds.
They are undefeated in eight games home and away, the longest current unbeaten run in the division.
And they have scored at least once in their last six away games, the joint best current sequence of its kind.
Matt Ritchie, with 15, is the most prolific provider of assists in the Championship.
So much for the goals scored. Eddie Howe's men also have the best away defensive record in the division with 20 goals conceded in as many games.

On top of that, they have shown great character, coming from one down to draw at Ipswich and two down to beat Birmingham over Easter.Their former Albion defender Steve Cook, whose scrambled goal sparked the comeback against Blues, said: “Me and Tommy (Elphick) were very disappointed with the two goals we conceded but, when you have got the attacking force we’ve got, you expect to score goals.”
