Aaron Hughes wants to forget his Albion frustrations by celebrating a happy anniversary.
The Seagulls defender will become Northern Ireland’s joint most capped outfield player alongside David Healy if he features against Scotland tonight.
Albion skipper Gordon Greer is also in the running for a start in the Hampden Park friendly as Scotland gear up for Sunday’s Euro qualifier against Gibraltar.
Northern Ireland boss Michael O’Neill wants to use players who have been short of action with the clubs of late.
That gives Hughes a great chance of a 94th cap, 17 years to the day since Lawrie McMenemy handed him his debut in a 1-0 win over Slovakia.

He has only played one game for Albion since the 3-0 defeat at Derby on December 6.
Hughes admitted: “It’s a total first for me. I’ve never even been to Hampden, so this game probably has a bit more about it for me than most.”
Albion goalkeeper Christian Walton is in the England under-20s squad to face Mexico at Barnet tonight.
But boss Aidy Boothroyd could opt to start Jordan Pickford and keep Walton back until they play the USA in his home city of Plymouth on Sunday.
