I think it was about the same time as when Derek Hatton, the Labour Trotskyist, became a property developer

Really, surely that was before.........
Disgraced MP Eric Joyce has set an extraordinary new record by claiming more than £200,000 expenses in a single year.

The former Labour front-bencher – a convicted drink-driver – last year billed the taxpayer for a staggering £200,986, despite having previously pledged to curb his expenses.

Although long before.....
Denis MacShane, former Labour Party politician leaves Brixton Prison in London after serving his sentence for submitting 19 false expenses. Macshane was the Member of Parliament for Rotherham from 1994 until his resignation in 2012.

Disgraced former Rotherham MP Denis MacShane has admitted that he could have done more to probe allegations of child sex abuse in the town.
On Tuesday, a shock report reveals 1,400 children were sexually exploited in the town over a 16-year period.
MacShane confessed that as a “Guardian reader, and liberal leftie” he backed off from confronting the Muslim community over what was going on.
The ex-Labour minister, who was jailed over his expenses last year, told he BBC: “I think that I should have burrowed into it.
“If you read my prison diaries, I praise a lady, an MP called Anne Cryer who did raise the problem of cousin marriage and patriarchy of the oppression of women within bits of the Muslim community in Britain.
“Perhaps yes, as a true Guardian reader, and liberal leftie, I suppose I didn’t want to raise that too hard.”

There are a few on this page.......
Disgraced Ex-Labour MP David Chaytor is due be sentenced for Parliamentary expenses fraud at 2:15 pm today.
Chaytor who used to represent Bury North submiited forged invoices gaining him over £18,000 of payments, he was not entitled to receive

Real life is better by a country mile, than fiction as this story shows, disgraced Parliamentary Expenses Trougher and former Labour Home Secretary Jacqui Smith is to investigate pornography for 5 Live.
The Redditch Saddleback had some problems with her expenses, while she was staying in her sisters box room, Mr Smith was home consuming Kleenex by the mile and starching his socks to porn movies, all paid for by the taxpayer.
Smith is to interview film makers and porn stars for the documentary, which could be very entertaining if Smith has to interview any of her husbands favourite salami hiders

Another Labour MP caught out with election irregularities, almost a fortnight to the day that the Labour Twitter Czarina and MP for Bristol East Kerry McCarthy offically because a registered election fraudster another Labour invertebrate life form has been caught out: Phil Woolas.
Labour’s institutional contempt for the Democratic process so ably demonstrated by their then leader Gordon Brown and his fear of voters, just wont go away, it’s in Labours genes and DNA.
Dear Leader and his party have always know better than the voters who are either bigots or flat earthers

The rise of UKIP is as damning an indictment of the major political parties and the establishment as media praise for the 'terrific atmosphere' of selhurst park is of the modern premier league experience.

Desperation by the Tories as they've realised their budget has gone down like a lead balloon, that their press poodles no longer can set the agenda and that on May 7th Cameron will lose another election
He didn't lose the last one, Brown and Clegg did.

Weird how this isn't top story on BBC News. Bet it would be if she was wearing a purple and gold rosette. Just more "even-handedness" from our "impartial" state broadcaster.

Looks like there's some ethnic warfare going on inside the party of diversity and multiculturalism. Almost all of these members are Asian gentlemen who are trying to exercise their right as party members to select candidates, and the higher ups seemingly don't like the projected outcome.

Blimey, are you the candidate for UKIP on NSC?

Just logged in today to see some very blatant electioneering posts from you.

Will you be doing this every day?

Does anyone in the Labour party or their voters have any maths qualifications? In the likely event that they don't, they should use a calculator.

Do you ever bore yourself?

Every time someone catches you out, which is quite often, you get very puerile and struggle. You have my pity.

That would be the budget which Ed Balls has said he wouldn't change?

I'm no fan of Osborne, but let's face it Balls got is completely wrong when he predicted a 'triple dip' recession, and millions more out of work when the Tories announced their plans.

We now have the highest number of people in work ever in the UK, and the fastest growing economy in Europe.

Funny how the IFS think otherwise and Osborne has still to detail the figures as at the moment they don't add up

And yet tax receipt are down in work benefits are up and zero hours contracts are a reality for millions of people. Also worth pointing out labour's spending plans fully costed and audited can still work within the budget. Where they differ is in years two and onwards. Gideon is going to cut back to 1930s levels of spending Labour is not. Love the NHS vote labour while we have one to save
And how are your children?

...Gideon is going to cut back to 1930s levels of spending Labour is not.

afraid you cant say that any more, not that it was strictly true, spending after cuts will now be above the lowest of the Brown years. I believe some of Labour's spending plans are also borked now, as the same source of funds has been used and allocated elsewhere, so they'd have to cut some plan expenditure to stick to their plans.
