Velothon track marathon, Preston Park on the 7/11..

Another nice bit of bling there Steve! What are your plans for the big 100? (A question youve prob been asked a few times as you get nearer, sorry!)

Looking forward to reaching the 100. I have two more marathons this year, but next year actually doing fewer - only 7. The 100 all being well will be in March 2017, close to my 50th birthday, in Jerusalem & then 101 Brighton, all being well. Then I'll take running seriously!

Good luck with the Velothon marathon. I take my hat & running shoes to you - running around a track, over & over again!

I have signed up for Portsmouth, 20th December 2015. I'll complete the hattrick and then think about next year. Brighton is already paid for, Beachy Head will be. I want to run one in a different country so I'll look at races in Germany.

I guess I should add myself to the sabbatical list, as I have run 3; London in 2010, Brighton 2011 and Berlin 2012. I don't currently plan to run any more, but never say never.

No veloddrome for me unfortunately due to a minor calf strain. Did go down to support the runners for a couple of hours - the mental torture was pretty obvious to see (in pretty crappy conditions too), and not sure the camber was helping much either. Small field in the end of about 30 runners, winner finished in just over 3 hours with second very close (2 seconds) behind.

I've done two. Brighton in 2011 and 2012. Would quite like to do next year's if I can buy a place again. I need to lose wait and get back in shape!

Yeah did the Velothon yesturday, actually quite enjoyed it in a steady 3hrs 24mins. The rain and the wi d were pretty bad but the track was fineto run on, i was expectingthe camber to cramp up my legs or destroy my ankles but that never materialised.

My plan was to pit stop at every 6 miles which worked pretty well but as you use the same muscles getting going again was the hardest part. I think the key to a race like this to definatly not think, not think about anything and to find a rhythm andto stick to it. Danny Baker and 5 live help with this!.. The guy who came second, who i chat to at most races, has a very efficent running style which for a race like that is ideal.

But yeah great support and i think ill do a race like that again.. It was hard of course.. But quite refreshing because youve got nothing to think about, ie navigation, hills, distractions, kit, hydration etc etc.. All of which i love.. But once in a while its nice notto think about it.

I think all that started finished.. And hats off the winner and second, 3hrs 02 i think with 10/20 seconds between them..

London next.. But now to then it seems a very long time to wait.. Tempted by portsmouth if its notsold out.. Or something in the new year.. But maybe thats it for this year.. Ive achieved everything that i wanted to achive this year (apart for not achieving under 24hrs in the sdw100..but over the moon with the finish.. TP100 2017 thats on!) and stayed pretty much injury free.. Maybe time to maybe get some *cough* riding in!

That is an incredible time. Well done! If only I could run so fast. Enjoy your break you've deserved it.

Will they be running this marathon again?
