These guys are in it for upside definitely but they don't need to buy 100% of the club to control it. Parish and his cronies can keep 30% as an equity upside trade and everyone is happy.
Private ownership by guys like this is all about cost control, and redeveloping or building a new Selhurst will involve a capital outlay far in excess of the return it will generate. Don't forget they don't play the long game either so the even if they did get it back the IRR generated would take way longer than they would want to be invested.
Premiership club valuations will go up regardless because of the new TV deal. Sounds to me like Parish needs a new pair of aviators so is cashing out his outlay because he can. there is certainly no requirement to pump a load of new money in to get a return here.
