The problem with Bennett is he's probably the 3rd best left back in the last 10 years. In most periods of our history, he would be comfortably our best. He suffers by comparision to Bridge and Ward who were both of a far higher standard that I've ever seen in my time as a Brighton fan.

I wouldn't be unhappy about signing him but he can be a bit of a challenge defensively.

Indeed, It's not easy to follow Marcos Painter and Sam Rents.
