He also crashed into the rear stanchion of the South goal early on. Looked rather painful.

I'd forgotten that two footed tackle. How on earth the ref didn't even give a foul for that I don't know. Many many refs have sent off players - Bruno amongst them for worse. And, I may be misremembering, but didn't their free kick which led to their second goal come straight after? I don't mind a lenient ref but the level of inconsistency is amazing - the idiot that sent Dunk off a few weeks ago would easily have sent two or three off yesterday.
Oh and yes, Gardner was useless for us (just to keep on topic!)
