I was surprised by how many were worn.

It's almost as if NSC isn't actually THE barometer of ALL Albion fans.

But it is the barometer of the superfans who set the standard of how everyone else should behave.

Don't get all this fuss about half and half scarfs. Loads of them sold, therefore the club made a few quid on them. That's got to be a good thing, right? It's like a momento from an event - like a programme. I got given one at a Europa Cup Final, FFS!

Half and half scarves are not a good thing, loads were being sold at Falmer Station by street vendors, these people had nothing to do with the club.
Yes I know the club did sell the scarves but I would rather have an Albion scarf.

Also nothing like a programme, when I buy one I read it and put it on a shelf at home.
I don't end up looking like this.

What I don't understand is crowding round a coach to get a brief glimpse of players walking out of one door and in another when you can go inside the ground and see them doing what they're famous for 90 whole minutes in most cases ....

JCL's are all potentially our future regular supporters, they just need the opportunity to grow the love affair with their local team. The more that come, the stronger the club will become.
There's no need to be too precious just because you were a Withdean regular. Get over it and share the love.

Especially when the players themselves refuse to acknowledge the presence of us mere mortals.

I've never met a pro cyclist who hasn't been anything but approachable stopping for a chat, photo etc, irrespective of how many tens of thousands of people are about. (In the case of ToB)

Most footballs should be ashamed of their behaviour towards the fans, and the fans should be ashamed of the unconditional 'love' they throw back at them.

It's no way to win a race though is it. I'm sure they're really hacked off after your little chat

Arsenal are one of the biggest teams in the world. They played out little Championship club who've not been in the top flight since the 80's.

OF COURSE people will want a glimpse of the likes of Walcott, Özil and the wizard that is Alexi Sanchez walking to their bus.

Grown men begging for an autograph is indeed a sad sight. But Albion supporting kids have every right to look at players like that and be in awe. That's who they're aspiring to be. They don't want to be Sam Baldock when they grow up, they want to be Alexi Sanchez.

Half and half scarves on the other hand... They can **** right off.

Hang on. I've been cycling with Stat Brother and his team talk was inspirational. I only punctured twice.

Puncture reducing inspiration is very hard to come by in my experience; fantastic stuff. According to some on here he should speak with JFC.....

Baldock has the potential to be a PL footballer in the future, he is a very classy finisher.

I don't get the problem with half n half scarfs??

My littleun, who is now 8 collects them for all games she has been to if they are available, got about 20 now over the last 3 years, will be a great momento for her to look back on in years to come.

Nowt so fickle as fottie fans:ascarf:

I was referring to Leon Knight, didnt think someone would be interested in his signiture.

I've got a signed photo in a frame by him and Gary Hart just after he has scored the penalty in the play off final at Cardiff with Hart in close attendance.
I'm excused though because it was when we still liked him.

Hey Dirge, don't make it bad

I am getting more than a little fed up with "Hey Jude" in the intro (which is same every time) and with the Brentford and Arsenal supporters singing along with it got under my skin. I like the Beatles but this song is a dirge.

Cringeworthy , the wheels going to fall off at some point , this farcical commercialisation of football fans can't sink any lower can it , some people have no scruples

Totally agree. Whilst negotiating my way around the same lemmings I thought how strange it was for grown adults to be fawning over a bunch of opposition footballers who were looking to end our own aspirations of progressing in the cup. Parents with/and kids is understandable, but grown men in their 50's?
where they wearing CP /stone island or replica shirts,
