Boss Sami Hyypia hailed a "fantastic" performance from his players as ten-man Albion drew 1-1 at Wolves.
Darren Bent had given the Seagulls a lead in the tenth minute and they looked comfortable until Bruno was sent off 15 minutes into the second half for a reckless challenge on Kevin McDonald.
David Stockdale made a number of good saves to preserve Albion's lead but he was finally beaten in the 88th minute when Danny Batth stabbed home from a corner.
Hyypia said: "I think the players were fantastic. It is a pity for them that they didn't get all three points as I think they deserved it for their performance.
"But it wasn't to be and we can only*be disappointed that we didn't win the game.
"It was difficult after the red card as they put us under pressure but the players did well during that period and still tried to play. We didn't only defend which was very encouraging to see.
"The team showed a lot of character. We were missing some very important players but everyone stepped up to the plate. They all took responsibility and that is why the performances was so pleasing."
Hyypia had no complaints about the sending off of Bruno which will see him miss the next three games through suspension.
The Albion boss added: "The referee makes the decisions and we have to live with them.
"Of course he (Bruno)*is upset but I think it was the right decision."
