Honourable stuff from Chicksen but if what I have seen in recent weeks from the players is believing in the manager and what he is trying to do... God help us if they lose faith in him!

The mind boggles !

We believe in his philosophy just needs results. Wel i think 3 wins in 20 with us and 4 wins in 30 odd ( or whatever it is ) proves that his philosophy doesn't get results.
also if aanother manager came in tomorrow, hed say exactly the same thing.

In the history of professional sport, has any player ever come out and said, in public or to the media, that they don't believe that their manager is up to the job and has lost the confidence of the dressing room (or similar negative stuff)?

This is a serious question.

That puts to bed the rumour that Sami had lost the dressing room.

No it doesn't. None of the players are going to slag off Sami, are they?

Chicksen, just back from a loan spell with Gillingham, told BBC Sussex that we the players believe in all he's trying to do but knows as well as us all that we need to start getting results, and fast.

'We obviously believe in the manager and the way he wants to play.

'We believe in the philosophy he brings to the club and try and do everything he wants us to do in games - but we need results with that.'

yes of course they do what else can they say he,s a knob?

Straw that breaks the Camels back

When Grant Holt played under Hughton for Norwich he displayed his displeasure at the defensive tactics whilst his long contract was running out. He then signed a new contract and then repeated his dissatisfaction a year later over tactics and was eventually transferred (soon after).

The Bayer keeper expressed support for Sami's laid back attitude. But he has done the same for their new coach as well.

If a player shows displeasure with the Management I think that means they are most likely to be on their way, later if not sooner.

More from Adam Chicksen:

"It was a good surprise," he said. "I went out on loan to try and get back in the Brighton team, which is where I want to be.

"It was a good decision to go to Gillingham and get some game time. Peter Taylor is there [I most certainly am NOT] and they have a good bunch of lads who pass the ball.
"I worked hard to get the chance and hopefully I will keep that spot."

"As a group of players collectively we need to pull together."

That's kind of the point when you are a TEAM - not that any of them know they'll be playing at each match because of Sami's stupid squad rotation!

Did anyone see Solly's reaction to Sami after he was subbed off on Friday? That didn't look like it was all a bed of roses

Solly should've seen my reaction when he made a complete fluff of that cross from six yards out.

Has there ever been an interview ever where a current squad member has said "no, the manager has lost us totally and doesn't have our backing"?

No. Thought not.
