Have to agree with the original post here... The Albion has been a part of my life for longer than I care to remember, I was loving the club before I loved my wife and it always will be a part of me.
We have all experienced good and bad times that is why is a sport , not rehearsed entertainment.
At the moment things are bad , the management are not doing a good job, I would like to see Sami go, the executives seem out of touch - but talk of abandoning the club we love just because of temporary poor performances is frankly disloyal

Disagree. I have supported Albion for 50 years and, like you, it is very much part of me. Am a STH living in Bristol so have 6 hour round trip to each home game.

Frankly, though I cannot justify the time and cost to watch a ghastly scenario unfold of intransigent Board (well actually TB: no-one ele will have a view that will count) that is renouncing the loyalty of you and me. They made a humungous mistake and are not taking the repsonsibility for the consequences. By sticking with it, you are giving tacit support to this stubbornness and disrespect to the real fan. We, the fans, made a difference when it came to getting he Amex. If we can show together that we will not tolerate this impossible situation of having an incompetent manager by having nothing to do with the club until he goes, then we will have done a greater service in the long-term. Simply 'supporting the team' does not support the club

When the team is playing poorly there has always been grumbling and perhaps the occasional ' what a load of rubbish ' chant but isn't this practice of spitting vitriol at the manager a fairly recent thing ? I was there through the 13 straight defeats and don't recall Pat Saward being treated like that. And 11000 plus were there the day we broke the chain by beating Luton and the atmosphere was like a party on the East terrace.

Does anyone think Sami, TB, the team, and everyone at the club aren't as disappointed as all of us ? Like it or not, if TB thinks it worthwhile ( for whatever combination of reasons ) to stick with Sami then that is what will happen. So we have some choices - Stay away, go to the game and support the team and manager, who surely are trying their best to succeed, or go to the game with the intention of being easily upset and in bad humour. Choosing the last alternative will not change the manager - perhaps it will entrench TB even further - and it will not give the players the confidence to want the ball and to take shooting chances.

I might consider away games. Of course I hope we stay up this season with the current manager or not. But I'm not watching Rome burn whilst.. etc..

Sums it up perfectly for me! Can't see me doing the 160 mile round trip anymore whilst the Dim Finn is still here. Millwall was the final straw!

Feel like today could be a pivotal day for the Albion this season, the failure to dispose of Sami before the crucial Christmas period could well see us well and truly cut adrift by New Year, then who will want to come to us during the transfer window?

I know everyone is angry and feel like the board are making a huge mistake, but the decision has been made at least for now and we need cut the negativity, get behind the lads and give em a 12th man

I cannot believe that people are suggesting that they are going to stop going to games because of the manager not being sacked. If you support the club you do it through good and bad and it is during the bad times that supporters are needed most and show their true metal

Since the birth of my son I have only been able to go to a few matches here and there (I had a season ticket before). Even at Withdean when we survived on the final day against Stockport I wasn't this frustrated about the team and have spent years wishing every Saturday I could be at the ground. However this year I just cant get that passion. Watching games on TV and streams is so frustrating as we could be a good team if the players were motivated and in a different system.

Living in Reading makes it expensive and time consuming to go to a game and a just can't bring myself to do it. Is Sami the only one to blame? Of course not, but I just can't see myself wanting to go to a game while he is in charge

I went to nearly every home game that season and from what I remember the crowd got behind the team because even when they were getting beaten, the players never stopped trying and they always gave the impression of being a team and working for each other. Pat Saward was not the best manager we've ever had nor was he the worst. And then came Tony Towner!!!
Today's lot bear no relation and come across as disjointed and disconnected with a clueless manager!

Sometimes I think there's just too much money in our part of the world, 8000 people not going when they've paid for a season ticket. Embarassing to be honest, dare I say it, would that happen at Palace?

We've got to get 7 points from our next three games to have a sporting chance of avoiding relegation.

I don't think sacking Sami will achieve that.

Getting somebody new in might do, and I don't mean Pulis, Hughton etc. Changing the system will make things worse.

Mostly, it is down to players making individual mistakes which does not absolve Sami as he picks the team.

Tactically, I cannot see that 4-2-1-2-1 is particularly bad. Not my choice (I prefer 4-3-3) but it is a valid system.

I think some fans (especially Harty) are getting hysterical.

Recruitment was makeshift. The players have been misfits for a few seasons now. They seem to playing for themselves rather than adapting. I don't hold with the players being played out so positions is so wrong either. We should not have so many specialised players (down to recruitment).

It was, however, mystifying, playing a midfield of three right wingers at the start against Derby and Millwall was incomprehensible to me.

Millwall game was poor, but it was just as bad (apart from the result) in the last three seasons (3 draws) at home.

I will stop attending games if Hyypia stays. I didn't go on Friday and I won't be going again while he is here. Why do I want to take leisure time out to get angry and wound up, which is what I will do.

This kind of opinion is completely alien to me, don't understand it at all! No offence to you, you pays yer money etc but...what the feck?! What is the point of being a footie fan then? I'm not happy with the situation either but I'll keep going, try and be supportive, will moan a bit if i don't think the lads are putting the effort in but win or lose I'll use it to blow off a bit of steam. Footie is about venting from every day life, it is not the Albion which gets me angry and wound up it is the Albion that lets me unwind! (note to the eejets out there I am not a JCL, been paying to watch the Albion since '87. I did get angry and wound up by Bellotti and Archer but not much since).

I completely agree with you BUT!!
This is a different issue, because everyone knows sami needs to be sacked. ( and i do mean everyone ). Its just that Tony bloom is just trying to be the " its my club my decision " type of bloke.
If sami had any success somewhere as a manager then i could understand him getting longer to sort things out.
but he hasn't. Both teams he's been at now he has been a complete failure. He cant motivate his players, 90 per cent of people on here who aren't football managers can se the problems with midfield, he is a looser and always will be.

i hate to say it but anyone who wants to boo sami at the reading game has every right to do so. They pay good money to watch a team that bloom has said is capable of a top 6 finish, play like they dont even know each other week in week out.

bloom has a lot to answer for aswel. Because he stated only a few weeks ago that this brighton team was good enough for a promotion challenge. So if thats the case why is he happy to let sami stay in his job whilst the team ( he states are good enough for promotion ) fight it out in the bottom 3. So for him to accept the situation we're in , whilst telling the fans were premier league ready. Is VERY disappointing ( puting that politely as he got a lot of people on here that won't have a bad word said about him ) so if you want to boo and show the club how p**t off you are then go ahead. If you want to go and cheer then go ahead. Its the decision of the person paying the money.
I know what im doing. And dont care what anyone else sais. This club is a shambles at the minute, and i for one am p*st off !!!!!!!!!

That is just like me. Getting angry and shouty for 90 minutes is all part of the entertainment for me - there's nothing like letting off a bit of steam at the end of the week over a game, the result of which won't have any positive or negative effect on the rest of your life.

People will pull together if the team starts showing that it's up for the fight, behind the manager and wins one or two on the trot. For that to happen, Hyypia needs to find a consistent team selection which has some emphasis on the character of the players and which acknowledges the limitations of the situation and personnel. In other words, don't pretend we're Arsenal and field such a lightweight side. Start with the players that are up for a battle until we begin to turn things around.

Brighton factually.....
I will support the team whilst on the pitch 100% However I expect 100% effort & motivation from the team and bench. I am at a stage now that if I don't see that I will make it known I am not happy. It is a two way thing and lately I have not seen that from the squad or manager. The Albion may well go down and the manager may well get the sack, hey it's nothing I aint seen before watching the Albion like many of you, the only thing different this time I feel is this can / could be avoided and rather disappointing soon after being told we are PLR.

Apologies, there's much that you post on here that makes sense, but this statement is just nonsense. There's more than half a season left, and 75 points to play for. If we get 30 points from those games, we avoid relegation. Last season, 45 points was sufficient.
