for what it's worth, i'd love to see the words put up and have the whole ground join in.
there's a good reason too, especially as the original is a military song with many verses, and it's been sung in a few variants in recent decades.

It seems some people don't want it and others do. My take is any newbies want the best expeirence, and if people are singing around you, your more likely to join in.
It would also help if the midfield or forwards could score goals, that always helps:lolol:
