The worst Christmas song ever. Only time it was ever any good is was when half of Newman/the sea field was up at Brixton academy a few years ago though. Excellent gig and a great night.

Jona Lewie has oft been quoted that 'Stop the Cavalry' is nowt to do with Christmas, just bunged in the line about being home for Christmas and a couple of bells - BINGO.

Also, ironic that one of the all time greats by Greg Lake is quite a cynical song about Christmas.

Love 'em both though.

A Christmas Song, by Shawn Phillips. Actually about the Christmas Story itself, I love the jazzy upbeat feel and the bloke's voice, and it also has a message that is worthwhile!

A vote, too, though, for the Pogues with Kirsty McColl
