Here are three memorable matches between the two sides:
*
Division One
Thursday December 26, 2002
Norwich 0 Albion 1

Steve Sidwell’s third goal of his loan spell gave Albion a surprise victory at promotion-chasing City on Boxing Day. The Seagulls were superb in the first half and after a number of attempts on goal, Sidwell eventually made it count when he volleyed home from Simon Rodger’s corner. The Canaries rallied after the break and Mark Rivers had the ball in the back of the net only to have it ruled out for offside. Rivers was denied once more, this time by the woodwork, as Steve Coppell’s side held on for a vital victory in their battle against the drop.

Division One (Old)
Saturday March 8, 1980
Norwich 2 Albion 2

Albion came into the match in need of a victory having won only once in the league since the turn of the year and they got off to a flying start. Brian Horton put the Seagulls in front with a low drive from outside the box before Mark Lawrenson doubled Albion’s lead before the break. The Canaries pulled one back straight after half-time through Kevin Reeves before Horton missed the chance to regain Albion’s two-goal advantage from the penalty spot. The miss proved costly as almost immediately Norwich levelled through Alan Taylor’s powerful finish as Albion recorded their sixth consecutive draw.

League Cup third round
September 14, 1966
Norwich 0 Albion 1

Albion travelled to Norwich – then a division above the Seagulls - knowing that a victory would put them into the fourth round of the League Cup for the first time in their history. The first half was evenly contested with both sides creating good chances without breaking the deadlock. Albion rode their luck at the start before Norwich stopper Kevin Keelan produced a fine fingertip save to deny Charlie Livesey. Albion stopper Tony Burns then produced the stop of the match with a one-handed save to deny Don Heath’s goal-bound effort. The match seemed to be heading for a replay before Livesey took the ball from his own half and unleashed a 20-yard rocket to send Albion through to the fourth round with two minutes remaining.[h=3]ALBION V fulham
