Purely because when deciding what name I wanted to link it to a relatively obscure Albion player and the picture I found just made me think of it.
Was my favourite player when I was growing up....... Yes, I know, not everyone's cup of tea, but never forget he scored our first ever goal in the top level away at Villa.

Okay... I'll come clean....ish. When I signed up it was the first username I'd been asked to supply, and I said to her indoors "what shall I call myself" well immediately prior to that I'd been henpecked about putting on a few pounds so she kindly suggested 'Fat Old Man' so that's nearly what I did.
Hence when, well three times I've identified myself I get ' bu bu but your not fat ! To which I've replied no but I'm not actually a seagull either! But the name does give me licence to joke about pies .... Though I think I've only had three, and up to yesterday it was two
