There were successes all round for Brighton & Hove Albion players on international duty last night.Club captain Gordon Greer played the full 90 minutes for Scotland in Warsaw as Gordon Strachan’s side battled to a 2-2 draw with Poland.
After falling behind on 11 minutes the Tartan Army looked set to claim a brilliant 2-1 win as Shaun Maloney and Steven Naismith had turned the game around to put Strachan’s men ahead, but Arkadiusz Milik rescued the hosts with a thunderous strike on 76 minutes.
The result leaves the Scots in fourth place on goal difference but level on points with world champions Germany, after Joachim Low’s men were held 1-1 by the Republic of Ireland.
