Brighton & Hove Albion visit Vicarage Road on Saturday to play Watford in what will be the 109th meeting between the two sides.
Albion have the edge in the overall head-to-head record, with 43 victories to Watford’s 34, while the two teams have drawn on 31 occasions.
The most recent meeting between the two sides in Hertfordshire was a forgettable one for the Seagulls, as goals from Ikechi Anya and Fernando Forestieri saw the Hornets triumph 2-0.
It was a different story in the previous campaign, as a Craig Mackail-Smith penalty secured three points for the blue-and-white-stripes back in September 2012.

FA Cup fourth round
Watford 0-1 Albion

Albion, then plying their trade in League One, beat Championship opposition for the second round in succession following a third round victory over Portsmouth.
Ashley Barnes scored the only goal of the game in the 16th minute, when his 25-yard strike was spilled over the line by Hornets keeper Rene Gilmartin.
The Seagulls came close to extending their lead after the break, as Chris Wood struck the bar with a volley, while Inigo Calderon’s effort forced a good save from Gilmartin.
The home side upped the pressure in the last 15 minutes with Danny Graham twice coming close to netting an equaliser for the Hertfordshire side, but Albion held on for a memorable win.

Championship
Watford 1-1 Albion

Adam Virgo’s 85th minute equaliser earned Albion a valuable point in their ultimately successful bid to avoid relegation from the Championship.
The hosts took the lead in the 53rd minute when Danny Webber latched on to Neil Cox’s pass and fired in his sixth goal in as many games.
Substitute Chris McPhee looked lively for the Seagulls since returning from injury and was denied a goal after some fine goalkeeping from Richard Lee.
But the Seagulls did not leave Vicarage Road empty handed, as Virgo’s volley sailed into the top corner to earn Mark McGhee’s side a share of the spoils.

Second Division (old)
Watford 0-1 Albion

Albion headed into this game at Vicarage Road after a slow start to the season, with just one point from two games and the team were languishing in 15th place.
But Garry Nelson’s second-half strike secured their first league win of the season and proved to be a catalyst for the season ahead.
Indeed, the victory started a run of three consecutive wins, as Albion went on to record 3-2 wins at home to Charlton and Portsmouth respectively.
The 'hat-trick' lifted the side to sixth in the table and by the end of the campaign, the Seagulls came to within touching distance of a return to the First Division, losing 3-1 to Notts County in the play-off final.[h=2]UPCOMING HOME FIXTURES[/h][h=3]ALBION V MIDDLESBROUGH
