Russell Slade - Confused??

Can anyone understand what is happening at Orient?

Last week, Slade was told he had one game to save his job, he accepted that.

This week, Cardiff have made THREE approaches to speak to Slade about about their vacancy and Orient emphatically refused them permission.

Do they want to keep him or lose him?!

They want compensation cash - I think.

so who "told Slade he had one week to save his job" ? Is it published as fact, by the owners of Orient, or by Slade himself? Or is it just paper speculation?

"The president has been honest enough to tell me we have one game to sort it out," Slade told BBC London 94.9.
"Hopefully we get a response on Tuesday. The situation is we need to get a win or that will be curtains."

This is what Slade said last week.

Another owner creating a farce when running a football club. Good to see the fit and proper test continues to be a success.

Fair enough.

These are the Orient chairman's programme notes tonight, via a journalist on Twitter.

What a twunt he sounds.

Did a great job keeping us up; be great to see him get the Cardiff job. Go Russell!

Absolute legend. Let's have a full house at the Amex on Tuesday and lots of "We love Russell more than you" and "He's got no hair, but we don't care...." Let's hope Cardiff have got a decent line in baseball caps. Cox and Vincelot to Cardiff?

Appointing him when we did and sacking him when we did are probably 2 of Bloom's best football related decisions as chairman to date.

Funny game football.

Funny game football.

Bloom wasn't chairman when Slade was appointed; Slade came in on March 6 2009 and Dick Knight didn't step down until May 18. Gus Poyet was Bloom's first appointment.
