Will there be 'leftie mask wearing gangs' if there are no racists coming to Brighton with the advertised intent of causing mayhem?

Well maybe the leftie mask wearing gangs should grow up and ignore the march. It's EXACTLY what MfE / EDL want - for other idiots to attack them. Strange how the racists at least have the guts to show their faces ?

I think its a funny argument by some people on here. Regardless of why the violent racists are coming....its still all the leftie response that makes them angry...its pretty funny.

Are you hard of reading of something ? I condemn BOTH groups. Sadly you seem to have a love affair with violent lefties.

No, you seem to have an irrational hatred of people, who wouldnt be in the city if not for violent racists, coming to Brighton with a declared intent to cause mayhem.

How many 'masked gangs of violent lefties' roaming around Brighton today?

I dont see it as 'ironic' at all.
When the racists make their violent intent known, it is bound to attract anti racists.
The MFE intent was not for a peaceful march, but to bring violence if possible to Brighton.
It was made quite clear on here by a representative. See my signature.

If you want violent racist gangs coming to Brighton for their march to 'celebrate their rights' to be violent racists, then good for you.
and again, the police generally have the racists under manners for most of their time in Brighton, so its not surprising there are not many arrests...in Brighton.
Theres quite a few going to prison next month for racist violence in other cities....they will join other violent racists who have already gone.

and WS...I saw 2 of the 'peaceful' Dorsetshire Arms people running down Dukes Street to attack people earlier in the day....and they were chanting EDL....even though
ive been assured by many here that its MFE and not EDL.

Simple fact...no violent racists coming to Brighton, to commit violence...no violent response.

Dave, Dave Dave.......

We should not forget that the original early MFE days out in Brighton passed off as peaceful, family gatherings on the lawns outside the King & Queen pub in Brighton, attended mostly by a bunch of numpties, but peaceful numpties at least. At some point the radical left wing protest about anything brigade took offence and it turned into the pathetic bunfight that has occurred in town for the last 2 or 3 years.

Let's not also forget that you flew back specifically to the UK to confront the MFE/EDL protestors.

I think...actually know that both groups pretty much have the same problems when it comes to those who associate themselves under their respective banners.

The MFE lot contains people who are genuinely proud of their country and it's heritage and are concerned that said heritage is being lost. It also contains people who just fancied coming down to the seaside for a rev up.

Likewise the anti's have people who because of it's links to the EDL and other right of centre organisations don't want those people wandering around town "celebrating" their Englishness. However it also contains people who just fancied coming down to the seaside for a rev up.

I'm sure the business owners along the route of the march (with exceptions of a few pubs maybe) will be delighted that it is buggering off for a year. Where ever it does go the exact same thing will happen as does in Brighton. Should it come back in 2016 then the exact same thing will happen again and we'll be having the same debates as we do every time this circus comes to town.

March for England has said they will not be coming to Brighton next year.

The controversial nationalist group has sparked large counter protests from antifascist organisations at its annual St George’s Day protest through the city in recent years.

But the group announced on its Facebook page this morning.

“It has been decided to now to alternate our St Georges Parade between Brighton and other venues, 2015 will be in the North at a Sea front location in talks now on location. 2016 will be back in welcoming seaside resort of Brighton.”

Tony Campbell, spokesman for the Stop the March For England group said they felt that they had made the decision because of the widespread opposition to the protest in the city.

In a statement Stop the March for England said: “We welcome the news that next year’s St George’s Day will not be marred by gangs of racist thugs marching in the streets of Brighton.
.
"This is a victory for a city that was prepared to come out and defend its reputation for tolerance and diversity.

"We will offer our support to anti racists in whichever city or town the March for England chooses to afflict next – if they change their minds then we are ready”

Good riddance, now can we stop the overweight, naked, old men who insist on spoiling the Naked Bike Ride.

And if you are going to do it again this year get a more substantial saddle.
