Albion’s players can break a barren run in front of goal at Griffin Park today.
No Seagulls player has scored on the last six league visits to Brentford’s home.
Albion ended a dreadful run away to the Bees when they last visited four seasons ago and beat Nicky Forster’s team 1-0.
But the only goal that night was clubbed into his own net by home defender Karleigh Osborne.
The five previous league visits brought no goals, one point and a lot of misery.
(There was even a defeat in the*LDV Vans*Trophy in 2001 in a tie switched from Withdean to Griffin Park, although at least Albion scored twice that night before losing in a shoot out).
Which means the last Albion player to score in the league at Brentford remains Dean Wilkins with a late winner on Boxing Day, 1995.
On a more positive note, the Seagulls have not lost or conceded a goal on their last two visits thanks to a 0-0 draw and that 1-0 win.
Jo Kuffour, who got the winner in 2006-07, was the last Brentford player to score at home to the Seagulls – at the right end at least!
