yeah I gathered Yeovil would of been your main rivals,most of my time spent in Weymouth was in the late 80's,before Yeovil got into the football league

here's hoping Weymouth get a result today :thumbsup:

Both teams warming up on a partly shadowed mainly sun drenched pitch. Hill look relaxed and in fine fettle. The Darts have drawn four and lost one of their last five matches, while Hill are on a mega run of straight wins. Away win in the offing methinks :)

Well done Hill, no shame in that. Even though they're struggling in the Conference, Dartford (in the first half) were physically stronger and ran the midfield.

Hill started brightly but fell behind when the right winger cut inside and lashed one into the net. Hill had strong claims for a penalty for handball which were waved away and a few minutes later, Dartford were 2 up. Darren Budd came on midway through the half to replace the injured Graham Martin and, with his first touch, smashed one in from 20 yards when the ball was headed out to him following a Greg Luer free kick. 2-1 and back in it and played some good stuff for the new few minutes until Andy Pearson inexplicably passed to a Dartford striker who rounded Josh James and saw his goal bound shot handled on the line by Toby Pointing. The subsequent red card and converted penalty left Hill with a mountain to climb.

To their credit, Hill played the better stuff in the second half and who knows what the final outcome would have been if Rob O'Toole had found the back of an unguarded net instead of hitting the post early on in the second period.

So the run is over and Hill will have to try again to make history and reach the first round proper. Back to league action at home to Whyteleafe next Saturday and the lead at the top of Ryman South has been cut to 4 points by Faversham beating Redhill.

For Hill, it was a case of Dartford - a Bridge too far!

I remember Eastbourne Borough vs Weymouth a few years back in the 4th qualifying round. Must have been 6-700 Weymouth fans there!
