Brighton & Hove Albion fans travelling to St Andrew’s for Saturday’s match against Birmingham City are advised that major roadworks are taking place in the city centre.Essential works are being conducted on the A38 St Chad’s and Queensway tunnels which run through Birmingham, and these are completely closed to all traffic until Monday 1st September.

Supporters travelling from the south are still able to enter the city via the M42 junction 3, but those travelling from the north and planning to use M6 junction 6/A38 are advised to travel along the A540 ring road instead.A number other driving restrictions are also in place across the city centre, with only buses, taxis and cyclists allowed in both directions on the Snow Hill Queensway between St Chad’s and Colmore Circus.
Hill Street may also be restricted to bus, taxi and cyclists only in order to manage access onto Paradise Circus.
