He has proved that he is worthy of a place in our first-team squad, and he has a very bright future ahead of him"

Brighton & Hove Albion defender Lewis Dunk has signed a new four-year contract with the club, until the end of the 2017/18 season.
The talented 22-year-old central defender becomes the latest young player to pledge his future to the club, after Solly March, Jake Forster-Caskey, Rohan Ince and Christian Walton all recently agreed new long-term contracts.
Manager Sami Hyypia said, "Lewis fully deserves this new contract. He has proved that he is worthy of a place in our first-team squad, and he has a very bright future ahead of him.
"He has come through the club’s youth system and developed as a player. It is now up to Lewis to work hard, continue learning and try to earn a regular place in the first team."

Head of football operations David Burke added, "Lewis’s new deal is further proof of our commitment developing our own young talent, and also securing their long-term futures.
"He has impressed for the first team, and shown he is an accomplished player at Championship level. His challenge now is to earn a regular place in the first team."
Dunk made his first team debut in a 0-0 draw with MK Dons at the end of the 2009/10 season aged 18, and has made 68 appearances so far.
