If you do the maths , the transfer fees paid out in the summer plus wages combined with an increase of wages for the players already there , Wurzel's £2M settlement must already come to near the payment they'll get for being in the Premier League before being relegated. Spending any more silly money in this transfer window will mean dipping into next season's parachute payment so Parish is doing the right thing by telling Pulis to be a bit more sensible with any transfer targets.

You have a point but my back-of-a-beer-mat calculations give palace about 10 - 15 million left in the kitty.

So hopefully they'll blow that on more dross next week, in a failed attempt to survive.

I can confirm the above is absolutely true, though you forgot the 80k a week we will have to pay him

There is something about Palace Chairman since Noades. Who was the bloke with the cigar who spent a fortune on a team that a club of their size couldnt support? Then there was the bloke with the hair and orange tan who made them insolvent a second time and now their current chairman is a media junkie who has spats with fans in the media and on fans forums. So far from Tony Bloom who is quietly rebuilding a proper football club. Peter Crouch and Tony "too old for a track suit and a baseball cap" Pullis.

Sky were suggesting they laid out roughly £18M in transfer and signing on fees. They signed 17 players during the summer and last transfer window. Murray alone is picking up £1M in wages this season. It all adds up and £60M doesn't stretch far.

Doesn't matter if TP walks away, Or have two or even 3 more administrations we'd still return to beat BHA when it matters:rave:

The words "suggesting" and "roughly" are clues you know Soggy.

Yes, Archer, the sole reason why you have had success we have not in recent years but even Archer didnt use insolvency twice to pay for a team to keep us in the top 2 divisions. Palace ? Not worth a fiver.

So all the undisclosed transfers were signed for nothing ??? Next you'll be saying Gayle only cost £500K and is on £4k a week.

I'll roll with you on this one Soggy.
Let's say the club have spent £16 mill on transfer fees. Factor in the wages, which CPFC2010 said have trebled since last year, making it another £30 mill, a total of £46 mill.
Turnover will have gone from last seasons £12 mill to over £80 mill this season.
I'll leave the rest to you ....

Think Prince Charming is actually (unfortunately) doing the right thing here by refusing to sign donkeys on high wages - if it means the manager gets into a hissy fit and walks out - then so be it......

After all, they are of course preparing for relegation.

Wurzel and the "backroom boys" got a £4M promotion bonus , Wurzel got a £2M leaving present , £1.5M on ground improvements to reach minimum Premier League standards , **** knows how much the cladding cost , the Croydon Advertiser says the entire wages bill for the club shot up to £18M by the end of last season so if it has trebled this season it wont be anywhere near £30M. What will the Met Police be charging for policing costs on matchdays ? Parish wont let Pulis spend another £25M on a half a dozen has beens on £30k a week for 3 years.
