Brings back memories for me too, played for the colts for a season or two. Used to love playing on 'the green' as a batsman, easy scoring given the width.

Though I spent much more time over the years cutting 'the green' up and ruining the outfield during mass football matches with my mates and against the foreign students.

What is the youngest a colt can start playing in the U10's?

We have colts as young as 6 in the under 10 age group. I can ask the Mark manager to call you if you PM your number or pop down to Shoreham Academy tonight at 6.30pm for your boy to start

Thanks Skills, I've noted Mark's number down and I'll have a chat to my lad tonight. He's 7, turning 8 in June, and showing an interest in cricket and is playing at school.

I loved my time at southwick, even though it was only a season many years ago.

I played before the new pavilion and we used to change in the community centre up the road.

One of my best bowling performances there..9 for 24 against Shoreham in a weekday afternoon game.

Couple of 50's

Hoping to play for sussex over 50's again this year , trouble is you have to take a day off work!

You are welcome back

My back wouldn't take it now after all those years behind the stumps twice a week, then in goal twice a week during the footy season.
