It's easy to say, but as our last manager, the current manager will be compared to him. It's only natural. And given the debate when he left and the attempts of some people to downplay his management abilities, there is going to, again naturally, be an interest in how well he is doing.

Barnes has only just left, he was joint top scorer and the on-field cost of losing him and whether or not that is greater or lesser than the money we could have lost out on if we didn't sell him isn't yet known so of course he will still be a topic of discussion. Especially when factoring in he was joint top scorer and now one of the other joint top scorers is out for the season due to injury, and we have yet to bring in a replacement for Barnes.

You also have to factor in that the people who made the decision to let them go, or to let them go in the way that they did are still here and these decisions will be measurements of how well they are doing in their job.

Also to b factored in is that you don't have to read every thread.

With Poyet, it's only right to be interested or sore about the whole situation but I do find the amount of stuff a bit worrying sometimes.
With regards to Barnes the second post on the thread somes it up and I think for the next month or so lots of people will be arguing over the selling of our top scorer and only fit striker for a small amount when we're trying to get promoted
