Ahhh, a Palace fan.

Unless I'm very much mistaken, there was a lengthy thread on the BBS recently relating to a flare that somebody let off in the away end at Anfield. With numerous people complaining of breathing difficulties, frightened children and so on. And of course the opposite, Mick-From-Patcham views too.

Perfectly safe in Lewes but not in a (arguably less crowded) football stadium?

Someone else will have to answer that one for me, I cannot.

Because its the participants who set off and carry the flares as part of the procession and when they go out they are dropped on the floor so there is no crowd involvement. They are being let off in a far less crowded area than at the Amex.
