Thanks for your help & have booked 4.15 train from HH...One more question then I will bugger off, promise...Where's best place to park (free of cause :) near HH station? Thanks

Not really anywhere local. Depends how far you're prepared to park and walk. There's a new multi storey next to the station which is £8 a day and runs til 4am. It's £2 on a Sunday.

Nope. Thurston Moore for me, then Richard Dawson on Sunday. Got tickets for Nils Frahm too, exciting times.
Is Thurston Moore this weekend? I was pleasantly suprised when I saw him support Swans the other week, didn't think much of the record I heard or that TGE show he did a couple of years back but seemed he was now doing a pretty decent impression of Murray Street / Sonic Nurse era Sonic Youth.

#Teamkim.

Saw Thurston Moore Group last weekend at Best Kept Secret and I was really impressed how they've come on as a band. Admittedly the previous time I saw them 2 years ago was only their second-ever gig as a foursome, but I thnk they've tightened up brilliantly since then. That and their second album together sounds more like Sonic Youth, which can only be a good thing in my book.

I really like the album, it comfortably over exceeds my expectations, although there's no major departure from Sonic Youth.

I was in the stalls, about a third back from stage left. 3D was OK there at that angle (presumably better though if more central). Hot initially but seemed to cool down a little after half an hour. Was very surprised to hear some of the soundcheck at 7:10pm, and them arrive late on stage just after 8pm. There was also a guy by the info desk near the merch wearing one of the suits they wear on stage. Presume it was a fan, and not one of the band? Anyone else see him?

Really enjoyed the show - last time I saw them was Brixton c1992. Thought the graphics worked very well and pondered on why others haven't gone down the 3D route. Presume money?

I'm off to see Jackson Browne tonight. I have not seen him live before and am really looking forward to it. If he is half as good as Springsteen was at the Ricoh last year, I'll be happy.

Kraftwerk - Thursday at the RAH. Thankfully it had cooled down a bit by Thursday. We sat in a low level box about 45 degree angle from the stage - sitting there a=with backdrop of the RAH really added to the occasion. In comparison with Brighton the sound was definitely much better, graphics I did not find quite so awe inspiring this my be because we were right at the front for Brighton. The set was much the same although I don't recall them playing Vitamin at Brighton?

Then onto Thurston Moore last night - very enjoyable without really taking off I felt - dare I say it needed to be a bit louder?

After a busy June that's it for a while but tickets for Robert Forster (x2), The Fall and Faust waiting for the autumn.

HOORAH!!! Robert Forster in September it is.

As a side note Richard Dawson and his minstrels Sunday night at the Old Market were, at times, absolutely magnificent.
****ing superb.

I think that if I hadn't seen Sonic Youth so many times I would have enjoyed Thurston Moore more.
Was still a cracking gig.
......but Richard Dawson ....... oh my.
Looking forwards there seeing him at The Dome/ Royal Albert Hall next time he tours.
