We had our best attended and longest meeting on Thursday night at which we welcomed a number of new and founder members. I promised to write up a list of the things we discussed and agreed:

We confirmed the state of the bank balance and with both dogs now running regularly, we should be building up the balance again soon.

The meeting discussed a proposed change to the rules, which formally changes the number of shares we hold by eliminating the £50 half shares.
The meeting agreed that from now on we only have £100 shares, and a £100 share is called one share. These shares cannot be split. They can be held jointly, but each share has just one vote (when we ever need to vote) and requires one monthly payment of £20 subs.

One the subject of monthly subs, the proposal to increase this amount was discussed at some length. In conjunction with our discussion on the bank balance and the future of Joe (Albion Legend) the meeting agreed unanimously that the monthly subscription will increase by £5 per share from January 1st.
However, as this is regarded as a big decision, it was agreed to put it to a vote of the whole membership. A simple majority is all that the rules require to make this change. We have sixteen members, so have put this to a vote of the members.

Another long discussion took place regarding Joe's future. He will be 4 in April, and must be regarded as coming toward the end of his career (this, even before we saw him run on Friday)
We need to start thinking about how we replace him, rather than being caught rather on the hop when Benny and Lara both retired within a week or two of each other.
I think in the end we agreed that Mark would keep his ear to the ground from January to see if anything comes along, and in the meantime we concentrate on building up the syndicate's funds to enable us to be ready to buy a replacement for Joe. A win or two from him and Diego wouldn't go amiss.

Yet another member of the syndicate has set about increasing the population and so has decided to give up his share.
If you know anyone who might be interested, please contact us or reply to the special thread on NSC.
We have also advertised the share in the next issue of the Official Supporter's Club newsletter, in the hope of drawing this opportunity to someone from their 300 strong membership.
Incidentally if you are not a member I would recommend it. Its only a fiver a year to join and you get a monthly newsletter in which you learn a few interesting things you wouldn't hear anywhere else. You get invites to events at the Amex, meet the management and players from time to time, and discount on away coach travel.
Well worth a fiver here: http://www.bhasc.com/

We are keen to maintain our links with Albion Star Youth FC and have received a package of newspaper cuttings and photos from Belfast with the kids showing off their northstandchatdogs shirts. We have a number of new young Albion fans over there, and a number of the coaching staff follow our dogs too.

Other charitable contributions will also be considered as they arise, but of course mindful of our bank balance.

The superb trip up to the Amex with the three original dogs was photographed and Matthew subsequently got it printed on a large canvas and got Calde, Bruno and Vicente to sign it so, we hoped, it could be hung in Dick's Bar. Unfortunately we couldn't arrange this, so Mark is now seeking to get it hung permanently at the dog track. We will let you know if and when he achieves this.

I think this was all we discussed. If anyone who was there remembers anything else, reply and let us know.
