QPR have star names like Joey Barton and Andrew Johnson
Nathan Jones has warned that QPR are in a “different world” to their Championship rivals.
But Albion’s assistant head coach is still relishing tomorrow night’s test for the mid-table Seagulls at Loftus Road.
Second-placed Rangers, with the benefit of big spending power, are unbeaten so far this season under Harry Redknapp following relegation from the Premier League.
Jones said: “QPR are in a different world to everyone else in this League. I wouldn’t like to think what their budget is with the players they have signed and brought in.
“They are signing players who were Premier League players, so something must be happening there.
“They are a good side but they can only put eleven out. It’s what you do on the day.
“It will be a kind of a gauge, but we are at the start of what we want to achieve. These big games are what you want to play in.
“That’s why Brighton wanted the stadium (Amex) and wanted to get into the Championship and ultimately the Premier League, to play against difficult opposition and full houses.”
